Who We Are

Sri Denabhagat Guruji was born in 20th March, 1972 at Rekhalagere Tanda, Challakere Taluku, Chitradurga District, Karnataka into a middle class agriculturist family.

After growing up in the beautiful rural atmosphere, I got trained as a teacher and taught languages at a private high school for about 10 years at places like Madikeri, and Bengaluru. So I have a good experience of both rural and urban environments. When we were children, we used to listen to the beautiful chirpy sounds of little birds from the tops of trees in front of our house; the trees provided cool shelter to all; a rivulet flows by our village; those days, you could see greenery alround. It lent a wonderful feel.

Though poor, people were rich in culture. Community cultural activities, sports, plays used to be organised regularly. These bound the entire village together.

In 2014 Sri Sri Sri Denabhagat Seva Trust was formed with the following ideals:

— One crore plantation

To plant fodder providing plants on road-sides, vacant government lands, dry lands, Gomala lands, schools, temples, waste lands on the hills and hillocks and care for them till they grow up

— Protection to cows

Aims to conserve indigenous breeds of cows.  Protect and develop cows and their progeny and include the development and conservation of native breeds.

—Preservation of Ayurveda plants

Planned for developing the medicinal plants and creating awareness in people about their uses.

— Ground water development

Increase the ground water supply to nearly 150 holes, help quench the thirst of innumerable animals and birds. As ground water increases the bore wells of that part swell and farmers would be able to carry out their farming activities

— Public awareness about environment

Public awareness of the environment is the ability to understand the surrounding world, including understandings to all the changes occurring in the environment

— Spiritual, Social, and Educational activities

Religious Education lessons aid pupils to gain insight into their own religious beliefs and loyalties, sort out their personal and spiritual values and practices so that they may take up their own spiritual allegiances.
